Day 3 of MTV Crashes Plymouth shines the spotlight on local bands and performers, all of which have been voted to play by the public through Radio Plymouth.

We’ve listed below the chosen acts you’ll be able to hear, live and loud for FREE on the 24th July 2015.

An explosive exciting energetic rock covers band based in Plymouth. With many years gigging experience in various bands over the years, they are no strangers to entertaining the crowds. The Hot Rod Hearts are Nick Jones Vocal / Guitar Sid Rowland Bass / Vocals Rod Ransom Drums.Playing songs by Bryan Adams / Bon Jovi / Fleetwood Mac / Dire Straits / Meat Loaf / Queen / Eric Clapton / Robert Palmer / Thin Lizzy/ Creedence Clearwater Rival and many more.

The Sugar Thieves

The Sugar Thieves [STB] are a four piece Rock Band based in Plymouth. Banging out a mouth-watering cocktail of original tunes & the finest festival classics. This highly passionate & versatile band is ready to deliver a set list that will keep you on your feet and have you bouncing on the tarmac from start to finish. “We want to play all year, meet cool people and spread the musical love to anyone who would like to listen”

Antimatador an 8-strong synth laden, horn heavy outfit from SW:UK, fusing hiphop, funk, jazz, electronica, soul, rock and DnB. They deliver a nuclear explosion of high energy and positive vibes and have crafted a sound all of their own. Whether it’s the cerebral vocals and tricksy horn licks or huge synths and earthy rhythms, they bring something for everyone to every show.

The Normals

A unique 5 piece from Devon whose exciting new sound is centered on a pumping brass duo and tight Rhythm section. Playing a mix of ska/folk/pop/rock originals and ‘Normalised’ covers of top songs, The Normals have fast made a name for themselves as a top quality band offering something that little bit different.

17 year old singer/songwriter Chay Snowdon creates unique songs with an old school feel but in his very own unmistakable modern style. Described by many as a mixture of Arctic Monkeys, Kings of Leon and Jake Bugg with more than a touch of early Elvis Presley. Chay’s high energy show and his powerful individual sound encourages music lovers to get involved.
